What’s new?

by on Jul.20, 2016, under Uncategorized

Okay, so I haven’t made a video in a while, so I thought I’d take this time to give you a quick update.

First, I started offering design services. Check that out here

Next, after running the “Bare Board Club” on my Patreon Page

I started to think about offering these boards for sale. I found an awesome company to handle the things I’m no good at like product pages, inventory, payments, etc… Check out my stuff here

And references to all of the boards shown are:
The Bluetooth Low Energy Board
The USB to Serial Converter Board
The Cheater Board
The Prototyping Board

And make sure you let me know if any questions/comments, thanks!

Where’s my copper??

So I’m always willing to try new board manufacturers, and it seems like new ones are popping up everyday. I usually ‘test’ them out with a small prototype run of just ~10 boards or so. This time for some reason, I was so impressed with their user interface and the ‘buzz’ out there that I pulled the trigger on x100 bare boards… the price did seem a little too good to be true though, but oh well, let’s try it out!

So I got the boards in and they looked great!

The boards really do look great, but as I started looking more closely, I noticed a major problem.

Bare Board Club!

by on Mar.12, 2016, under Uncategorized

So I started a Patreon page a little while back and I wanted to provide a reward to the Patrons of my YouTube channel that is tangible and something useful. I created a simple $10 reward that signs you up for what I’m calling the “Bare Board Club”. I’m always designing custom boards for the various projects I’m working on any way, so now I’ll just order a few extra for the Patrons and try to have new board designed and shipped out once a month. (Shipping is included in the $10 and International shipping works too) For each board I send out, a wiki page is created, so that when you receive the board, you’ll have all of the information you need to build the board, test it, and use it in your projects. I recently sent out the Cheater Board then there’s the RF Cheater or the Power Cheater. Be sure to check out the Patreon page for more information and keep an eye out for future videos showing off these boards. Again, all of the support is much appreciated and really helps create higher quality videos more frequently – you may have already noticed 🙂
